California Addiction Treatment

California’s current illegal substance problems

California Addiction TreatmentThe state of California is well recognized for its diversity where cultures and geography are concerned.  Unfortunately, part of that geographical aspect, namely bordering Mexico to the south, has created serious problems where substance distribution and trafficking are concerned.  The DEA has focused on several illegal substances that appear to be the problem in California:

  • club drugs such as Ecstasy or other MDMA’s
  • cocaine in crack and powder form
  • heroin
  • marijuana
  • methamphetamine
  • prescription medications

Although Mexican drug traffickers bring quite a quantity across the California/Mexico border, interestingly enough, much of the marijuana and methamphetamines are cultivated or manufactured within the state.  Imperial and San Diego counties continue to be the primary trafficking zones for substances entering the state from Mexico.

Although we do not have clear statistics currently at hand, it stands to reason that based on heavy population and the stressful California lifestyle are these are the primary reasons that there are more addiction issues in the state than any of the other 49, other than maybe the state of New York.  On a positive note and since September 11th, 2001, there has been more emphasis placed on securing the California/Mexico border.

About the Narconon Freedom Center

What we do know is that the majority of the California addiction treatment programs don’t work and fail nearly 80% of the time.  This high rate of failure is most likely attributed to a number of aspects such as:

  • an atmosphere that is clinical or hospital and not residential in appearance (a very intimidating factor for numerous individuals)
  • not addressing the emotional and psychological issues resulting from the addiction and only treating the physical
  • neglecting or overlooking the behavioral or psychological conditions behind the addiction (e.g. depression, OCD, etc.)
  • the California addiction treatment programs do not offer their clients any educational materials or recovery tools so that when they return to society

This is also the primary reason that the Narconon Freedom Center has always welcomed clients from California.  Additionally, past research has revealed that if you want to treat your addiction and successfully recover from it, education is the key.

Unlike the standard California addiction treatment programs, ours is a step-by-step process which includes 9 different classes/courses that enable the individual to understand the relapse process that so many individuals fall victim to.  We have a 70% (or higher) success rate because of this, which is the highest substance addiction treatment and recovery percentage rate of success in the US.

We would like to help you in any way that we can should you need further information about how we can help you when that other California addiction treatment couldn’t.  Please call us today at the toll-free number above.
