Maryland Addiction Treatment

The drug problem in the state of Maryland

Maryland Addiction TreatmentMaryland is situated in the mid-Atlantic region of the US eastern seaboard and is bisected by the I-95 corridor.  As a result of its location and the interstate freeway, illegal substances and weapons as well as the illicit proceeds from them headed for both Florida or New York travel through Baltimore and the surrounding communities such as Washington D.C.  In addition to the I-95 corridor, Baltimore is a major seaport which also compounds the problem because of international substance trafficking.

The city of Baltimore has been plagued with heroin distribution and addiction for decades now, but according to the DEA, other substances have become significant drug threats throughout the state of Maryland including:

  • cocaine in both crack and powder form
  • marijuana
  • methamphetamines
  • MDMA’s or club drugs such as Ecstasy

Additionally, the DEA revealed statistics regarding the rising “street” prices of cocaine and heroin due to decreased availability in the Baltimore area and surrounding communities.  However, the rising incidences of substance abuse and addiction have seen an increase in the number of Maryland addiction treatment and recovery centers that have developed.

The Narconon Freedom Center is here for you

Unfortunately, most of the Maryland addiction treatment centers still operate using the more convention treatment and recovery techniques which are basically out-of-date and just don’t work for the addicted individual.  This most likely explains why the majority of these facilities are currently witnessing a failure rate of up to 80%, meaning that 4 out of 5 of their clients eventually relapse back into their addictions.

Conversely, the Narconon Freedom Center has had the highest rate of success in the US today (70%+ in most cases) and welcomes clients from Maryland who have been unsuccessful in their endeavors when going through their addiction treatment programs.  We are well aware of certain aspects of the individual’s addictions that most of the traditional treatment and recovery facilities fail to address or just neglect.

For instance, unlike the traditional substance addiction treatment and recovery facilities, the Narconon Freedom Center provides the client with:

  • a homelike atmosphere for residential 28-day (or longer) treatment and recovery programs
  • educational materials which are very comprehensive and teach the client how to return to society and remain substance-free for life
  • alternative treatment methods and innovative recovery therapies

The first one above is one of the most critical as it provides the client with a more relaxing and less intimidating environment to be treated and recover in during their stay.
