The drug problem in the state of Maryland
Maryland is situated in the mid-Atlantic region of the US eastern seaboard and is bisected by the I-95 corridor. As a result of its location and the interstate freeway, illegal substances and weapons as well as the illicit proceeds from them headed for both Florida or New York travel through Baltimore and the surrounding communities such as Washington D.C.
