Opiate Addiction Treatment
Opiate addiction (also incorrectly referred to as Opioid addiction) has become a significant issue in today’s society primarily due to the use of these substances as analgesics, more commonly known as “pain relievers.” After they are ingested, they interact with the brain’s opioid receptors by adhering to them, therefore creating a relief from the pain that the individual is suffering with, as well as a euphoric sense and a sedative-like reaction. Additionally, Opiates help to suppress coughing because they relax the way in which the respiratory functions.
For these reasons, they are some of the most addictive substances known to man today. As a result, the need for Opiate Addiction Treatment as increased drastically over the years. The programs that we employ at our treatment and recovery facility are highly successful compared to the traditional treatment centers out there because we address much more than just the physiological aspects of the addiction process. We have learned that the client’s emotional and mental aspects need to be addressed as well.
Our Opiate Addiction Treatment and therapies employ a specific step-by-step process which enables our clients to:
- eliminate or reduce their cravings for the opiate they are addicted to
- eliminate or reduce symptoms typically associated with opiate addiction such as depression, fatigue, irritability, restlessness, and problems sleeping
- have a more enthusiastic attitude towards life and living longer
- improve their awareness of their surroundings
- improve their ability to make better decisions and think clearly
- improve their attention span and memory
- increase their energy levels
- instill feelings of general well-being
By following these steps, our Opiate Addiction Treatment facility enjoys one of the highest success rates in the United States – 70% or better in most cases. Conversely, the traditional treatment and recovery centers witness a 20% success rate at best. When our clients leave, they return to society as productive and successful individuals, with very little chance of any relapsing occurring.
Opiate Addiction Treatment is never easy and the recovery process is oftentimes as painful as the detoxification stage when the client’s body is being cleansed of the addictive drug. The programs that we employ at our facility are customized to the client because we know that no two clients are ever alike, nor are the types of their addiction and behavior. Our programs are unique and deal with the addiction at the three critical levels mentioned above by doing the following:
- we teach our clients to be accept the responsibility of their actions and be accountable for their behavior
- we work diligently to heal the client’s emotional wounds which run just as deeply as the physical ones
- we enable the client to heal their mental make-up while also enhancing their self-esteem at the same time
