Suboxone Addiction Treatment
What is Suboxone?
Suboxone contains the chemicals buprenorphine and naloxone and is typically administered to treat opiate addictions in much the same way that methadone is used to treat heroin addictions. Despite the good intentions behind its prescribed uses, it is still addictive when abused with sufficient regularity and overdoses of Suboxone have resulted in numerous deaths in the past.
This is especially true whenever it is injected with other tranquilizers as it causes increased drowsiness when taken with alcohol, antidepressants, antihistamines, painkillers, and sedatives that induce sleep. Additionally, Suboxone can cause substance dependency which is the primary reason behind a handful of addiction treatment and recovery centers creating our programs.
Unfortunately, most of these facilities do not have the knowledge or technology required to assist individuals with their Suboxone addictions. There are a number of reasons for this but the primary one is the fact that the majority of the traditional addiction treatment and recovery facilities rely on conventional “one-size-fits-all” modalities and therapies. These just do not work because the majority of them have been shadowed by alternative methods that are far more innovative than the conventional ones.
Freedom Treatment Center and Suboxone Addiction
The Freedom Treatment Center has been treating all types of substance addictions for many years and has the highest success rate of any treatment and recovery center in the US. Additionally, most of the traditional facilities fail to treat the behavioral or psychological issues behind the addiction and only address the physical levels of the addiction while ignoring the emotional and mental ones.
Past research has proven that one of the keys to a successful Suboxone addiction treatment and recovery program is education and teaching the client certain things which ensure that once they return to society they will remain substance-free. We teach our clients how to:
- avoid harmful situations in the future
- confront and control any potentially harmful situations that occur
- communicate more effectively with people in your surroundings
- improve their decision-making and problem solving skills
- overcome the tendency to live in the past
- purge their bodies of the substance they were addicted to and all of the residues
- restore their ethics, integrity, morals, and responsibility
- use all of the education tools necessary to acquiring knowledge and retain it
