Alcohol rehab centers

Alcohol Rehab CentersWhen we induct a new addicted individual into our alcohol rehab centers, a complete evaluation is done about the past and medical history, the level of addiction and the associated health problems that have been acquired. This is important to understand the stage of addiction and the individual’s complete profile, before a customized alcohol treatment can formulate to enable them to be sober and clean. Additionally, we ensure recovery tools and educational classes for the alcohol addicted that help them live drug-free and maintain the new lifestyle.

The first phase of the treatment is detoxification where the individual is not given access to any alcohol, bringing on withdrawal symptoms. The severity of the withdrawal symptoms depends on the amount of alcohol consumption the individual is used to. The toxic residues that get concentrated in the fatty tissues are removed through the process of detoxification. However, even though the outcome is positive, the individual oftentimes encounters unpleasant side effects namely:

  • Delusions and hallucinations
  • Blackouts, fainting spells and dizziness
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Fever and upset stomach

After the individual completes the detoxification stage, the treatment phase begins at the alcohol rehab centers. Most of the recovery tools and techniques are provided to the addicted individual that helps them to have a successful treatment and rehabilitation. Counseling sessions and psychological support is provided, apart from helping them return to normal life.

Some of the ‘Recovery tools’ include:

Scheduled group therapy sessions: Many of the individual at alcohol rehab centers have common problems and group sessions are held in closed door meetings that are held confidentially. Sharing, learning and peer support are some of the salient features of the meetings. All of these are held under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or a professional staff member.

Personalized counseling sessions: Inpatient alcohol rehab centers program include one-to-one counseling sessions with a licensed psychologist to help find a reason of the alcoholic addiction and counseling to overcome and build a new lifestyle.

Educational sessions: These are recovery tools aimed at providing moral and spiritual support to the person undergoing addiction treatment. Some of the aspects are- exercise, health and nutrition, issues of co-dependency and addiction and spirituality.

These are some of the important recovery tools that help the individual to heal mentally, physically and emotionally. The advantages are that they learn to be accountable for their own actions, become more responsible and heal the emotional traumas to regain the sense of self-worth.
