Alcoholic Rehab
You have to understand the psychology behind alcohol addiction in order to understand why the addiction occurs with certain individuals and not others, as well as how to treat the addiction. Our Alcoholic Rehab facility is all too aware of the fact that alcoholism (as well as substance addiction) stems from depression in many circumstances. In today’s world, over 10 million individuals succumb to depression annually, and it is twice as prevalent among women as men.
Should you suspect that a family member, fellow employee, close friend, or loved one is in need of Alcoholic Rehab, watch them (discreetly of course) to see if they exhibit any (or a combination of) the following types of behavior:
- Behavior indicative of apathy, depression, or hopelessness
- Drinking early in the day or creating the opportunity to drink
- Drinking long after an event or gathering is over and others have stopped
- Drinking prior to any social event, whether they are getting a head start on the event or easing some of the social discomfort associated with the event
- Drinking to the point where the individual blacks out, out especially when they are alone
- Erratic or extreme behavior and mood swings
- Excessive (sometimes predictable) absenteeism and/or tardiness at their place of employment
- Forgetting to follow up on important appointments or shirking other personal obligations
- Improper hygiene habits and sloppy attire
- Insomnia, restlessness, or the onset of other sleep disorders
- Smelling of alcohol regardless of what time of the day it is
- Making excuses to justify any of the above behavioral patterns
What you need to understand is that if the individual exhibits any of these behavior patterns that they are really crying out for help. If this is the case, please do not hesitate to call us to answer your questions. Our caring and considerate staff is available to advise you and help you in any way we can.
The failure rate exhibited by the traditional Alcoholic Rehab programs stems from the fact that they employ limited therapies, namely the 12-Step Program and a few basic attempts at educating the addicted individual. What they fail to realize and typically overlook is that the emotional and mental aspects of the addiction need to be addressed as well as the physical aspects. This is precisely why these traditional Alcoholic Rehab programs fail 80% of the time (based on the national average of a 20% rate).
Our Alcoholic Rehab facility and our certified, licensed staff members are aware of the fact that an alcohol rehab program cannot be successful, nor can the client fully recover, if the psychology behind the addiction is not fully recognized and understood. Additionally, the Alcoholic Rehab program has to treat the emotional, mental, and physical aspects, and the consequences of the client’s addiction. This is the underlying premise of our Alcoholic Rehab program. It is also why we can boast one of the highest percentages of success in the United States.
