Depending on where the individual is in the addiction process or how severe their addiction to alcohol has become, it may require entering a drug alcohol rehab program in order to get clean and sober as well as remain that way for life. What this entails is actually living in a residential type environment for an average of 28 days – longer if the addiction is much more severe and has transpired for many years.
