Alcohol Addiction Treatment
Alcohol addiction is a serious problem that often requires some help or treatment. This problem affects most Americans in some way, either through direct addiction, family members who are addicted or even strangers who end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Alcohol addiction Treatment is an important part of breaking the cycle and becoming free of alcohol.
The Statistics:
Alcohol addiction has an effect on many Americans throughout the country. In fact, it is estimated that between $40 and $60 billion is lost annually in medical care, loss of work production, crime and accidents that results from alcohol abuse.
Beyond the economic loss, the loss of life is another serious problem. Of the fatal traffic accidents in the United States that occur each year, 50 percent relate to drunk driving. Another 1/3 of traffic related injuries are the direct result of drinking alcohol and driving.
Nearly one in 13 American adults abuse alcohol or are addicted to alcohol around the country. This amounts to around 14 million men and women.
The Treatment:
Alcohol addiction treatment is one measure men and women can take to break free of the cycle and stop their dependency on the substance. Our treatment facility has a high success rate because we understand alcohol addiction and all of the facets involved in dependency. We take action to provide the best treatment, beginning with detoxification.
Alcohol addiction is hard to break because of the dependency to the substance. While the initial detoxification might last only a few days to a week, the tissues in the body can hold some of the alcohol and slowly release it even after individuals have stop drinking for several days or even weeks. Since we understand this trend, we take measures to detoxify the whole body so that the tissues release the alcohol and then the body removes it.
During and after detoxification, our treatment facility works on educating those who come for help. Our education program explains alcoholism and methods of managing the problems that often lead to addiction. We explain what it is doing to the body, how it harms loved ones and how it can create unnecessary problems in all aspects of life.
Beyond simply explaining the problems that come with alcoholism, our treatment facility strives to teach new methods of coping with the stress of life that lead to alcohol use and we provide counseling on an individual and group level for optimal success against this deadly addiction.
If our staff discovers a dual diagnosis, or a situation where mental health conditions are leading to alcohol abuse to cope, we will take measures to ensure the appropriate treatment for mental health is also added to an individual treatment program.
Alcoholism is a serious problem, but it is also treatable. We are experts in alcohol addiction treatment and we take measures to help all of our patients succeed in the fight against addiction. Breaking free of addiction is tough, but with help it is possible.
