Drug Addiction Rehab Center
The Real Story
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s National Survey on Drug Use stated that over 23 million people needed treatment for drug or alcohol abuse problem in 2009. Of these, only 2.6 million received treatment at a special facility. Drug addiction rehab centers help drug abusers and addicts overcome their addictions. Freedom Center is one of the most successful drug treatment programs in the country. The facility is approximately 58,000 square feet and located on 10 acres, which allows for plenty of room for relaxation. Many patients have seen an array of wildlife including deer around the facility.
Freedom Center
Our treatment center has a 70%+ success rate, which means three out of four of our graduates leave clean and sober. The facility has an on-site workout center, volleyball court, swimming pool and basketball court. Freedom Center teaches addicts how to confront situations, communicate efficiently, purge the body of drug residues, overcome living in the past, avoid harmful situations and improve their problem-solving skills. We provide a variety of programs that fit each individual’s needs. The drug addiction rehab center programs will provide addicts with the tools they need to relate to family and function in a more healthy and productive way. A good program will begin with a detoxification treatment.
Detoxification
During detoxification, addicts will allow all the drugs or alcohol to leave their system. Sometimes this can cause painful withdrawals symptoms, such as tremors, nausea and vomiting. Trained medical staff will sometimes give addicts prescription medication to help ease the pain of these symptoms. After detoxification, the addicts will begin individual and group therapy sessions. This will teach the addict things like how to take accountability for his own actions, how his actions have affects on himself and others, how to remove guilt or shame and teach him how to decrease the chances of repeating the same mistakes.
Getting Help
Drug addiction is a serious disease and many people need help to stop. Do not wait until it is too late. If someone you know has an addiction, you can help him by getting him into treatment immediately. He may not want to go the first time you talk to him or he may not admit the problem but do not give up. Keep talking to him with positive reinforcement and never put him down. Putting an addict down will only cause him to continue in his bad ways. Looks for warning signs of drug addiction before asking him about the addiction and trying to get him help. Some signs of addiction include red eyes, dilated pupils, sudden mood swings, unexplained need for money, unusual smells and a change in friends or hangouts.
