Our Drug Rehab Center

Freedom Treatment Center is nestled in a quiet, semi-residential area in southern Michigan. The 58,000 square foot drug rehab center is located on a peaceful 10 acre property, featuring gorgeous oak trees, local wildlife, and plenty of space for walking and quiet reflection. This restful environment is perfect for contemplation and focus on recovery, without the busy distractions of urban life.

Our building was fully renovated in 2006 to create an ideal addiction treatment setting. There are comfortable separate lounges for each male and female dorm area, recreation rooms where our students can play pool and other games on their down time, and spacious course rooms and sauna facilities.

The facility features ample space for walking, sports, and other outdoor activities. Our fully equipped fitness center, featuring cardiovascular and strength training equipment, offers a place to exercise. We believe exercise and fitness are integral to the addiction treatment process.

The cafeteria features a full salad bar and nutritional meals, another core component of successful recovery. We offer diabetic and vegetarian meals in the cafeteria.

Your First Day at Freedom Treatment Center

On arrival, the student is welcomed to the detox/withdraw area. This area has a nice lounge for relaxing and a separate kitchen area so that the student can eat and rest as necessary to recover from the damage of drug or alcohol abuse.

This area is in a separate section of the building and is kept quiet and relaxed so that each student can recover from the initial drug withdrawal symptoms. Staff is on hand 24 hours per day to help calm the person and keep the withdrawal symptoms from reaching the severity that they do with other treatment protocols. V

Vitamin protocol is also begun immediately in order to lessen withdrawal symptoms.

A full physical examination is done by our Medical Doctor to assure a safe, drug free addiction detox and to handle any special medical issues a student may have.

Once this step is fully completed – when the student is eating and sleeping well and no longer feeling any pains or discomforts from drug withdrawal – they are moved on to the main portion of the addiction treatment program.

Living Arrangements at Freedom Treatment Center

During the main portion of the addiction treatment program, students are assigned a clean and comfortable room and are oriented to the facility and the program.

Course schedules start immediately in order to keep the student occupied and learning how to handle their addiction.

Staff is on site 24 hours per day, seven days per week to cater to any needs the student has.

Day and evening staff are comprised of highly trained staff members that are skilled in helping students to identify problem areas in life and learn how to handle them without the use of substances. We also have 24 hour trained security staff and 24 hour on call registered nursing staff to handle any additional needs.
