GHB Drug Rehab

What is a GHB?

GHB Drug RehabGHB is the abbreviation for the chemical Gamma-hydroxybutyrate.  It is most commonly classified as a sedative and a depressant that targets the central nervous system.  GHB naturally occurs in trace amounts in beef, the central nervous system, citrus fruits, wine, and nearly all animals.  The younger crowd which is frequently active in the nightlife segment of society commonly calls GHB a “club” drug.

Ecstasy is an example of these drugs which are also referred to as “date rape” drugs because they produce a sense of euphoria which results in decreased inhibitions.  Although GHB was once classified as a therapeutic drug, its recreational use is growing in shocking amounts.  As a result, there has been a need for many of the addiction treatment and recovery facilities to institute GHB drug rehab programs.

Why aren’t all GHB drug rehab programs successful?

Many individuals today have gone through GHB drug rehab programs in order to stop abusing the substance.  However, there are numerous individuals who have completed the treatment and recovery process, but once they return home to their communities, they eventually relapse back into their substance abuse activities.  There are a number of reasons why some of these GHB drug rehab programs are not successful.

First and foremost, most of those programs are found at traditional addiction treatment and recovery facilities which still rely on conventional, out-of-date therapies that are no longer effective.  Conversely, the Narconon Freedom Center offers GHB drug rehab programs that have 70% success rate, sometimes higher, and our clients typically leave our facility and return to their communities, remaining substance-free for life.

Another factor that comes into play is the appearance of the traditional facility.  These addiction treatment and recovery facilities look like clinics and hospitals whereas ours is a more residential setting.  This enables the client to be treated and recover in a homelike environment when they are undergoing one of our GHB drug rehab programs.  They are allowed to relax in an apartment like setting while in residency here at the Narconon Freedom Center.

We are always available to help you

One of the things that the Narconon Freedom Center is well aware is the fact that substance abuse and addiction never sleeps.  It continues to ravage the individual day and night without letting up.  Additionally, no two individuals are ever alike and neither are the consequences or levels of their substance abuse.  In order to effectively combat this, we can tailor a GHB drug rehab program that targets your specific needs.

Please call us today if you feel you have a substance abuse problem and would like more information about ourGHB drug rehab programs.  You can contact us at the toll-free phone number listed at the top of this page.
