Long Island Drug Rehab

Long Island’s current drug situation

Long Island Drug RehabLocated in the southeast portion of New York State just to the east of Manhattan, is Long Island.  Two of New York City’s boroughs or counties, Brooklyn and Queens, are located on Long Island along with the affluent counties of Nassau and Suffolk.  Considering the fact that there are numerous affluent individuals who reside in these counties, you would not suspect that drug abuse and addiction would be an issue here, but it is.

The state of New York has long been a primary target for drug traffickers because of the different ports of entry and being situated on the I-95 corridor according to a 2009 DEA report released at the end of that year.  The DEA is already focused on numerous drug threats including cocaine in crack and powder form, heroin, marijuana, MDMA’s (“club” drugs such as Ecstasy), methamphetamine including crystal meth, and illegally trafficked prescription drugs.

Drug addiction in Long Island

Considering all of the above, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that even affluent an area such as Long Island would have drug abuse and addiction issues to deal with.  The number of reported cases of death by overdose and serious illnesses associated with drug abuse and addiction has been increasing annually.  As a result, there has been an increase in the number of Long Island drug rehab programs that have been implemented in recent years to assist with treatment and recovery issues of individuals in the area.

Unfortunately, most of these Long Island drug rehab programs are offered by the traditional addiction treatment and recovery facilities that still rely on out-of-date conventional methods and therapies that fail 80% of the time.  These facilities are patterned after the clinics and hospitals in the area that handle drug abuse and addiction cases.  They are discomforting and intimidating to the addicted individual who has come to them in need of help with their situation.

About the Narconon Freedom Center

Unlike the numerous traditional addiction treatment and recovery facilities in the US, the Narconon Freedom Center welcomes addicted individuals into a homelike environment and provides an apartment-like setting.  These individuals have a place to relax while they are being treated for and recovering from their addictions.  Additionally, we welcome people who have not been successful at healing from their addictions at any  Long Island drug rehab facility or any other state for that matter.

Our Narconon Freedom Center addiction treatment and recovery programs have a 70% success rate (or higher) and the majority of the individuals who return home to their communities once they have completed our programs remain substance-free for life.  If you have been unsuccessful with a  Long Island drug rehab program and would like more information on our programs, please contact us at the toll-free phone number listed at the top of the page.
