Michigan Drug Treatment

Michigan Drug TreatmentThe consequences of drug addiction

The consequences that are associated with drug addiction are nothing less than severe.  Not only does is harm the addicted individual emotionally, mentally, and physically, it tears apart the person’s family and destroys numerous relationships in their lives.  What typically occurs the longer the addiction continues is that depression oftentimes sets in and the guilt factor multiplies.

As a result, they make a number of sacrifices that they normally wouldn’t if they were living a substance-free life inclusive of sacrificing their:

  • family and friends
  • jobs
  • personal integrity
  • relationships with a significant other
  • savings

Basically, they will sacrifice whatever it takes in order to get their next fix and get high.  As a result the 5 elements mentioned above will drastically go downhill.  As a result of the above, many addicts develop what is referred to as a “drug personality” which is artificial and is created solely by the consumption of the addictive substance they are abusing.

The individual’s attitude and personality change radically as well.  Their original personality is transformed into one that harbors hatred and hostility which the individual tries not to allow being visible on the outside.  This helps us to understand and establish a link between the drug abuse and the breakdown of industrial as well as social culture, productivity, and violent crimes.

The need for successful drug rehab centers

It’s obvious that drug abuse and addiction has destroyed the lives of individuals and the family unit here in the state of Michigan and throughout the rest of the 50 states.  This has necessitated the implementation of numerous Michigan drug treatment and recovery programs that effectively address the specific needs of the addicted individual so that they can break the vicious addiction cycle and experience a total recovery.

Just as no two individuals are identical, neither are the different types of Michigan drug treatment centers and their programs.  You basically have two choices – the traditional or the alternative addiction treatment and recovery facility.  They both share the same goal, namely enabling the individual to recover successfully and live a substance-free life.  But this is as far as any similarities go.

The Narconon Freedom Center is a residential addiction treatment and recovery facility that focuses on the more modern and innovative recovery therapies.  Our environment is homelike in nature in that clients can retire into their own private apartment like setting and enjoy many amenities that they normally would at home.  Most importantly our programs have a proven success rate of 70% or more.
