Communication, Perception, and the treatment for drug abuse Center

The difference between a drug addicts perception and actual reality can often be skewed greatly due to their drug addiction or addiction to alcohol. There reality has been constructed in their mind during their times of intoxication. When they become sober they realize that their lives are not what it was when they were using. This often causes severe depression, confusion, and a feeling of helplessness. To eliminate these feelings, and reconstruct their fabricated perception of life, the drug addict again turns to their addiction. This is an extended, two-part course of our treatment for drug abuse designed to directly address this cycle.

comparing our treatment for drug abuse to the other facilities

When a client enters our treatment for drug abuse, there are certain levels of supervision which are still necessary. However, they quickly discover that they have certain freedoms as well. Here are some critical factors to take into consideration when comparing our center to the other facilities out there:
  • Our facility provides the client with a residential environment in order to recover while undergoing treatment and recovery
  • We provide the client with recovery tools which enables them to have a successful rehabilitation process so that they maintain their new, healthier lifestyle and remain clean and sober for life
  • When clients leave our facility and return to their communities, they oftentimes become the contributing and productive individuals they once were before they became addicted to drugs

Recovery Tools

Recovery ToolsWe provide our clients with specific “recovery tools” here at our treatment for drug abuse which the more traditional facilities do not. We teach our clients three key aspects of the treatment and recovery process which includes the accountability, responsibility, and time factors. Take into consideration the following:
  • The Accountability Factor – our treatment for drug abuse teaches our clients that they need to hold themselves accountable for their addictive behavior and the consequences that have resulted from their actions.
  • The Responsibility Factor – our clients learn to accept the responsibility of their addictive behavior as well as the damage that has resulted during the addiction process and how they have been affected by it emotionally, mentally, and physically.
  • The Time Factor – when you consider the fact that most addictions don’t result overnight, it’s important for the client to realize that the treatment and recovery process won’t occur overnight either. Their drug addiction may have taken many years to develop to the stage it was in when they initially entered our treatment for drug abuse.

The Conventional treatment for drug abuse

The Whole PersonThe conventional treatment for drug abuse enables a person’s body to repair itself following the detoxification of their body, getting adequate sleep, and following proper nutrition guidelines. However, unlike these other traditional The conventional treatment for drug abuse , our Comprehensive Programs not only address the issues mentioned above, they take each individual client’s needs into consideration as well. Therefore, the client is treated like a “whole” person inclusive of body, mind, and spirit.
