According to recent statistics, of the more than 10 million citizens throughout the state of Michigan, approximately 734,000 people reported using an illicit drug over a one month period. In addition, in just one year there was an average of 217,000 people in Michigan who reported needing a drug rehab program but never going into drug treatment. This highlights the fact that that the state currently has a surplus of unhandled addicts.

Another alarming statistic just reported was that there were more than 30,000 drug arrests during a one year period in the state of Michigan and approximately 38.2% of inmates are serving time for drug offenses.  The by-products of violence and crime related to drug abuse  continues to increase as the economy continues to sag.  With more and more people in Michigan getting hooked on drugs like cocaine, heroin and marijuana, the need for effective drug rehab within the state is obvious.

Erica Catton, Director of Public Services from Narconon East U.S. believes that only a successful drug rehab program can truly handle the growing problem of substance abuse in Michigan. The Narconon Freedom Treatment Program is one rehab that has been treating addicts from the state of Michigan for more than 7 years.  Their drug and alcohol rehabilitation program achieves an average 75% success rate for permanent sobriety. The program has also implemented drug prevention programs throughout communities in Michigan that are aimed at stopping drug abuse before it starts.

With an average of only 60,000 people per year checking into a drug rehab program in the state of Michigan, it is obvious that citizens are in need of effective drug treatment that fully handles addiction
