Narconon Drug Education Tips

Narconon Freedom Center, a non-profit organization, offers information for parents wishing to talk to their teenagers about the affects and realizations on drugs.

One of the hardest things parents face, is the talk about drugs. What should they say? How should they bring up the subject? What do they know about drugs to tell their children the truth? Teenagers now and days need to know the “Truth About Drugs”.

One piece of advice that we can share right now, is to help educate your kids about drugs as a parent so that they don’t start using drugs in the first place. It is also good for parents to explore the problems that often underlie drug use. With many teenagers, the casual factor can be problems communicating with others and even something as simple as boredom. Therefore, other subjects such as setting and achieving goals can be gone over as methods of not using drugs as solutions to for problems.

The truth is that drugs damage the feeling of self-confidence and true happiness through productivity and accomplishments and by educating kids on this before they use, can make this real for them. Another tool for parents to use with their kids is the “Truth About Drugs” video.

“Narconon Freedom Center can easily provide information to any parent wanting to know the “Truth About Drugs”, and also help them to have the conversation with their teenager,” says Megan Werner Brennan, Public Contact Supervisor for Narconon Freedom Center. “Our organization also offers drug prevention lectures with one of the top educators in the world who has traveled all over to schools, businesses, clubs, and meetings sharing the information that is so critical to our present time” says Brennan.
