RSS Narconon Freedom Center Provides Sound Advice to Build Healthy Families
Sadly, a great deal of drug addicts also have children. Children who are born to one or both parents drug addicted start the world with 3 strikes against them. People on drugs don’t really see the world around them and the frightful neglect of a young child born to drug addicted parents is a horror to behold as any child intervention service could attest.
Even when such neglect isn’t glaring nonetheless it is still there. At Narconon Freedom Center students are taught a non-religious common sense moral code that addresses both children and parents and their roles in life. The book used is The Way to Happiness authored by American humanitarian, L. Ron Hubbard and has been successfully used since 1981 in schools, businesses, and governments in over 130 countries with more than 70 million copies distributed.
Chapter 4 in this book is “Love and Help Children”. It starts off with, “Today’s children will become tomorrow’s civilization”. It is from this premise that the chapter unfolds providing key essential data in nurturing and raising of children. This is vital data for recovering addicts to study for the sake of their own families and any future ones.
While on the Narconon program students study at their own pace with the help of a Supervisor. The Supervisor is not there to instruct the student on the materials but instead, as needed, assists the student in sorting out anything he doesn’t fully understand.
The Supervisor has gone through intensive training and uses these specific skills learned to assist the student. This can include clearing up words the student doesn’t understand and handling other factors.
In addition to the book there is also a newly produced film version on DVD of The Way to Happiness. This provides real life examples of each point of this common sense moral code to further make it real to students on the Narconon program.
Children are an essential part of life. Many students doing the Narconon program themselves became hooked on drugs at a young age. This is all the more reason they should learn the true common sense data on children and this has been found therapeutic in sorting out their own past as the chapter “Love and Help Children” also gives some key guide rules to how to better survive and may clear up some misconceptions the student may have.
