When is the Right Time to Intervene?

For many, substance abuse is a subject that no one wants to interfere with. It’s a personal matter for most, but we also have to think to ourselves, when is the right time to step in and take charge of someone we love and care about that is struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction?

When someone watches a loved one suffering and doesn’t know which way to turn, why not step in and help? This is a hard step, but the staff of Narconon Freedom Center, a non-profit drug rehabilitation program, can help. We have trained and certified drug counselors who can come to you and your loved one and offer real solutions to handle the problem of drug and alcohol addiction.

Narconon Freedom Center is a drug free rehabilitation program. Our program offers so much that others are truly missing. We help our clients’ withdrawal from their addiction in a quiet, safe environment where they receive care 24 hours a day. After they complete this step, they move into the next part of the program where we handle the physical aspect of addiction by having them detox the body in a dry heat sauna. Here each client is able to rid their bodies of the toxins left in it by drugs that cause physical cravings and are the number one reason for relapse” says Megan Werner Brennan, Public Contact Supervisor of Narconon Freedom Center.

“After clients complete the sauna portion of the program, they then focus on the mental and emotional components of the addiction for the duration of their stay. Here they learn how to become part of society as a drug free member. The life skills courses that they take focus on their past, present and their future. We also provide an after care specialist for the students to stay in contact with after they graduate the program. Before leaving the center, each graduate communicates with our aftercare specialist and together they set goals together for the student to achieve after graduation” adds Brennan.

The Narconon Freedom Center has a success rate of over 70%. The center is located midway between Chicago and Detroit in a small, family oriented town Albion, Michigan. This small town offers events for when the clients reach a certain point of the program can attend with staff members.

The staff of Narconon Freedom Center consists of on duty nursing with a licensed registered nurse overseeing our student body, a medical director, and Certified Chemical Dependency Counselors. Throughout the program, there are trained and able staff members ready to help your loved one.
Drug addiction doesn’t have to go unhandled.
