Substance Abuse Treatment
The current substance abuse problem in the US
The DEA publishes an annual report at the end of every calendar year that discloses the latest statistics on substance distribution and trafficking issues throughout all 50 US states. This past year, the statistics were more disturbing than in prior years, especially where there focus is concerned with primary and secondary drug threats in this country. There are 4 primary drug threats and 2 secondary ones as follows:
Primary: cocaine in crack and powder form, heroin, marijuana, and methamphetamines including crystal meth
Secondary: “club drugs” or MDMA’s such as Ecstasy, “Roofies” (Rufilin, a.k.a. “date rape” drugs), and illegally trafficked painkillers such as Oxycontin and Vicodin
In addition to the DEA report, the US National Health Institute and other public health officials now consider these to be serious public health threats because there roughly 40 million reported cases of serious illness and death that are associated with these.
The need for more substance abuse treatment facilities
As the substance abuse problem has grown steadily over the past few decades, so have the number of addicted individuals who are reaching out for help and enrolling in substance abuse treatment centers throughout the US. As a result of this scenario, there are more drug addiction treatment and recovery centers in operation than ever before. The problem with many of them is that they are the traditional facilities which still rely on conventional modalities and therapies that have a high failure rate.
Conversely, the Narconon Freedom Center is an alternative substance abuse treatment facility that welcomes its clients into a comforting, residential atmosphere so they can successfully recover from their addictions. We have one of the highest client success rates in the country (70% or more) and offer numerous programs that can be customized to suit the specific needs of each individual client.
We developed programs that satisfy the needs of all clients and treat them on the emotional, mental, physical, and even the spiritual level if that is what they are in need of. You’ll enjoy recovering in an apartment-like environment which is far less intimidating than the clinic or hospital looking traditional addiction treatment and recovery facilities. We also provide our clients with courses, educational materials, and other recovery “tools” that the traditional centers do not.
